GRAND OPENING: "THE ULTIMATE GIRL'S NIGHT OUT!"
- The first entertainment complex built by women, for women, featuring the world's flagship Chippendale's Theater
LAS VEGAS (January 2005) - The tables are turning in Las Vegas as the male-centric city is getting its first female-focused
entertainment center. The Rio Hotel & Casino is unveiling "The Ultimate Girl's Night Out" - - an entertainment complex
designed by women, for women - - with a giant celebrity-studded party on January 29th. The $7 million, 21,000 sq ft. venue
is where women can come to celebrate bachelorette parties, reunions, birthdays, office parties - - any occasion when a "girls'
night out" is in order. A 400-seat Chippendales Theater will anchor the complex where women can rent private sky lounges above
the 50-foot wide stage. They sit in seats designed ergonomically for women in a spacious cocktail lounge that serves woman-inspired
cocktails. The large retail area carries clothes, beauty and spa items, and novelties like bachelorette party needs. Since the
ladies room to not only freshen up, but to also catch up, there’s a plush "gossip pit" where women can sit and talk without needing
to lean up against a sink. The Ultimate Girls' Night Out has mostly-male wait staff hand-picked to appeal to a woman's taste.
They've undergone special training to learn the art of chivalry, making them the most extraordinary, charming staff in the city.
The Chippendales show has a whole new look, now under the direction of Emmy nominated choreographer, Brian Thomas, who has worked
with Pink, Usher and Beyonce to name a few.
