NEW POLL MEASURES WHICH PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE HAS BETTER TASTE
- Ice cream poll allows people to vote with their tastebuds. Picking an ice cream sundae could give insight into who will
be president! School kids kick off polling.
OAKLAND, Calif., (October 5, 2004) - Which presidential candidate dishes up the best recipe for success? An Ice Cream Internet
poll allows people to vote for one of three ice cream sundaes to determine where people stand with their presidential palates.
Do they want "4 S'more Years," "Cherry For Change" or are they "Banana Split on the Decision". Of course the real winner could
be those participating in the poll. Everyone who casts a vote in the ice cream poll will also be entered to win free ice cream
for the next four years.
A group of kids from Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Carlsbad, California kicked off the national contest today by making
some sundaes - - and a mess - - of their own.
Beginning today, Americans can cast their ballots at www.Edys.com (for those east of the Rockies) or www.Dreyers.com (west of the
Rockies), or simply go to www.icecream.com. Here is a peek at the presidential sundae contenders:
4 S'more Years - - This candidate is looking to stay in office. Two grassroots graham crackers, some political marshmallow fluff,
two scoops of Slow Churned Edy's Grand Light Vanilla ice cream, thin party lines of chocolate syrup, and a lobby of mini
marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs.
Cherry for Change - - A vote for cherry is a vote for change. A landslide of chocolate syrup, a heroic scoop of Slow Churned Edy's
Grand Light Vanilla ice cream, a generous helping of smooth, schmoozing cherry pie filling, a winning burst of whipped cream, and
of course, a chocolate covered cherry cordial.
Banana Split on the Decision - - Still can't decide which candidate gets your vote? Three delicious scoops of Slow Churned Edy's
Grand Light Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry ice cream escorted by two bi-partisan bananas, an electoral college of cherries,
nuts, blueberries, pineapple chunks and marshmallows, a long-winded layer of filibuster fudge, and a dab of White House whipped
cream.
Simply log on to www.Edys.com or www.Dreyers.com to review all three candidates and cast your vote on or before November 2.
